If Nottinghamshire Police arrest you or ask you to attend a voluntary interview, get legal advice before you answer anything. Under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, you have the right to speak to a solicitor before and during any interview under caution. The answers you give in that interview become part of the prosecution evidence, and once a statement is on the record, it is very difficult to walk back.
