UKVAS (UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services) has progressed the reopening of its UK immigration centres to the next stage. The online booking system is open to all registered customers who applied between 1st June 2020 and 30st June 2020. UKVCAS is working from the earliest registrations in date order. Affected customers will have received an email from UKVCAS that explains how to book a new appointment.

Changes to the application process

To speed up the delays for those who need an appointment, UK Visas and Immigration has changed the way that applications are processed. Biometric information that was submitted as part of a previous application can be reused, meaning that attending a Service Point is not always essential.

  • Those who are eligible will not be invited to attend an appointment but will instead receive an email with the subject ‘COVID-19: Update as a result of new UKVI Policy’.
  • Those who do need to attend a UKVCAS Service Point will receive an email to explain how to proceed.

Who can book an appointment?

The online booking system is currently only open to registered customers who were unable to attend an appointment because of COVID-19. New customers will be unable to book appointments on the UKVCAS website.
